Every year Walt Disney World picks four of its resorts to display gingerbread creations. These creations begin as a solid base, most likely of wood, and then it is completely covered in gingerbread and frosting. Each of the lobby areas where the gingerbread is displayed, smells incredible! I asked a couple Cast Members if they ever get sick of the smell? to which they responded, "no, but we have become immune to the smell." The four locations that the gingerbread creations are located include, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, and Disney's Boardwalk Inn.
This blog post is one that I am writing specially per my mothers request. She received and email informing her about these gingerbread displays at Walt Disney World. Her immediate response was to call me, and lovingly but forcefully instruct me to see all of them (: Before this request I was already intending to do just that. However, her urgency definitely helped me to actually accomplish seeing all of the incredible creations.
The first of the photos are at The Contemporary
The entire tree is made up of Gingerbread as well as the entire base to which everything is displayed upon |

A 'little' gingerbread house. Again, everything but the door is made of gingerbread |
The second creation is displayed at The Grand Floridian
The entire house is covered in gingerbread and frosting. All the the poinsettias that are on the house are made of sugar. There is even steam the blows out of the chimneys! |
Can you spot the hidden Mickey? |
Here the hidden Mickey is! |
The third display is at the Beach Club
The entire carousel is made up of gingerbread, chocolate, & frosting. This carousel also turns in a complete circle! |

The fourth, and final, display is at the Boardwalk Inn
For an added bonus, I was able to see a chocolate display at Walt Disney World's Dolphin Hotel. The entire lobby smelled of chocolate! It was pretty overwhelming, but so yummy at the same time
My next blog post will be in the next couple days. I honestly cannot believe how fast December is flying by! So much to do & so little time.
Have a blessed day!
